MANY NIGERIANS, ESPECIALLY IGBOS, do not believe that Coronavirus is really in Nigeria till date. They think it is a government scam to siphon funds.
Despite all the cases here and there. They call it Covid-419.
Do I blame them? Not really.
Meanwhile health workers, including 25 doctors, are soon gonna return from self isolation in UBTH for having been exposed to three Covid-19 patients, one of who died.
Thankfully, all the health workers are still fine.
I can understand the doubts of my fellow Nigerians. They have genuine reasons to distrust their leaders and second-guess every move.
Historically, our governments had never wasted any opportunity to steal public funds. Most politicians are chronic thieves.
But, as much as some people had politicized this Covid-19 situation, the truth is that it is in Nigeria, and I dare say that we might have more cases than are reported in the media.
However, like I said on a popular Facebook page, if you seriously doubt that Covid-19 is in Nigeria, biko, pay us a visit at UBTH lemme personally take you to their isolation ward for you to interact with them and “say hi”. Just one condition will be met, you will not wear any personal protective equipment, even ordinary face mask, while I’ll be fully protected. Then let’s see what happens to you afterwards.

Don’t play with your life while distrusting the govt. This is not the right time for games. You don’t play games with human lives.
